Composer
of Búkolla, a tale from Iceland

Helmut Neumann was born in Vienna in 1938. He grew up in Austria and worked in Iceland, Innsbruck and Klosterneuburg. He has taught, composed, created, and is now retired. He writes “Klangreihenmusik”, which can be serious or funny, for music-lovers and connoisseurs alike.

Helmut composed the music for the story of “Búkolla” in just a few weeks and while doing so, he often remembered his own childhood, and hopes that this Icelandic tale will entertain both young and old.
